"It is hard sometimes to read an AAR about someone attending training without first knowing the authors background. So here is a little bit about himself. I have been in law enforcement as a street cop for 16 years to date. I have been an instructor and field training officer since 2009. I have attended various SWAT schools in my state. I have sought out outside department training since 2013 after realizing department training was deficient in several areas and trained to the lowest common denominator officer.
As an instructor in firearms and defense tactics, while also holding a position on our SWAT team, I am continually seeking out courses that force me into critical thinking coupled with me getting outside my comfort zone.
I had taken several of Docs medical courses and was intrigued when he opened up his firearms training to students.
Believe me when I say it well worth the financial investment and time away from family to attend his firearms block of training. He is able to disseminate information clearly and always provided the “why” as to what material he included. Doc was more than willing to answer my questions and slaughtered some sacred range cows along the way.
His drills, courses of fire, movement patterns, anatomical targeting, and fundamentals are put in place to save your life and stop the bad guy. Period.
I will end with this. Anyone who’s riding the fence on attending a class, you owe it to yourself, your family, and or partners to take it. Make it happen and I’ll see you at the door."
